WALLIS AVENUE PHASE 1-3, MAIDSTONE

markhantonStudio were appointed to prepare planning drawings for a 4 hectare site consisting of 202 unit residential scheme, with a shopping/commercial zone, as part of the regeneration of the Parkwood estate in Maidstone. The scope of works included sketch to detailed design stage external works layouts for hard and soft landscaping, illustrative perspectives, material and furniture specifications, maintenance and management reports, together with general advice and guidance on landscape matters and coordination of Arboricultural and Ecology works for detailed planning applications over three phases.

The design sort to create a sustainable landscape through the incorporation of ecological enhancements and energy, waste and water management strategies. These methods were set within an overall objective of creating a sense of place by designing an attractive and robust community orientated neighbourhood that people aspire to live in, and are elements that are conducive to long term sustainable place-making.

The scheme will be realised over three phases commencing in 2014.
